The State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan operates 11 Child and Family Support Centers in the regions.
Shuvalan and Goranboy centers were subordinated to the State Committee by Presidential Order in 2007, and 9 more centers (Zagatala, Gabala, Ismayilli, Goygol, Agdam, Hajigabul, Saatli, Sabirabad, Zardab) were subordinated to the State Committee in December 2010.
The Centers aim to provide support to vulnerable families and individuals by implementing various social projects and programs on issues related to family, women, and children. They work towards preventing domestic violence, early marriage, and drug addiction while promoting family values, healthy lifestyles, and gender equality. In addition, the centers organize training sessions to improve the skills of parents and specialists. The staff of the centers includes a director, chief accountant, social work psychologist, social work specialist, social pedagogues, and a physical education instructor.
In 2023, 32,399 people benefited from the activities of the Centers.
