At the event, Ms. Khumar Ilgarqizi, a representative of the Committee's Department for Women and Gender Issues, delivered a presentation on "Maternity Protection, Women's Labour Rights, Gender Equality."

During the presentation, she emphasized the importance of ensuring the principle of equal treatment in labour relations and highlighted the need to prevent discrimination on the grounds of sex in recruitment, working conditions, remuneration, and career advancement. She also provided comprehensive information on the existing legal framework and state policy aimed at protecting women's labour rights, safeguarding maternity, and promoting gender equality.

The event, attended by representatives of public and private sector employers, focused on preventing discrimination in the workplace, creating a healthy and safe working environment, and discussing employers' responsibilities in these areas. It was noted that respecting employees' rights and promoting inclusive labour relations play a significant role in enhancing social welfare and labour productivity.

The event concluded with a question-and-answer session and an exchange of views among the participants.

It should be noted that the event was organized to implement the provision entitled "Organization of awareness-raising activities to prevent discrimination on the grounds of sex in the workplace" under the National Action Plan on Gender Equality in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026–2028.
