On 28 October 2020, at around 1 p.m., the armed forces of Armenia targeted civilians and commercial facilities in the Barda district, using cluster bombs prohibited under international law.
As a result of attack, more than 20 people were killed and more than 70 were injured, the civilian infrastructure and vehicles in the city were severely damaged.
